Whether you’re newly pregnant, experiencing aches and pains, or simply want guidance on exercising safely, this appointment provides personalised support throughout your pregnancy.
This is not a routine medical or obstetric check-up. Instead, it focuses on helping you understand the changes happening in your body, managing symptoms, maintaining strength and confidence, and supporting your goals throughout pregnancy.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

We’ll discuss:
● Your current stage of pregnancy
● Previous pregnancies and births (if applicable)
● Medical and pregnancy history
● Current symptoms
● Exercise and activity levels
● Your goals throughout pregnancy
● Any concerns or questions you have
MOVEMENT ASSESSMENT
We’ll assess how your body is moving, looking at areas such as:
● Posture
● Walking pattern
● Functional movement
● Hip and pelvic mobility
● Strength
● Balance
● Breathing mechanics
This helps identify areas that may benefit from specific exercises before they become problematic.
MANAGING COMMON PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS
Advice and strategies for symptoms such as:
● Pelvic girdle pain
● Low back pain
● Hip pain
● Rib discomfort
● Neck and shoulder tension
● Sciatica
● Round ligament pain
● Fatigue
● Morning sickness (movement strategies)

BREATHING AND PRESSURE MANAGEMENT

● Understanding your pelvic floor
● How to correctly contract and fully relax your pelvic floor muscles

(Internal pelvic floor examinations are not included.)
INDIVIDUAL EXERCISE PROGRAMME
You’ll receive advice tailored specifically to you, which may include:

● Relaxation techniques
The aim is to help you remain active safely throughout pregnancy.

PREGNANCY ROADMAP
FIRST TRIMESTER (0–13 WEEKS)

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK ANOTHER APPOINTMENT?
Depending on your needs, many women benefit from reviews:
● Around 20 weeks as your body changes and your bump grows.
● Around 30–34 weeks to manage increasing discomfort and prepare for birth.
● At 6–8 weeks postnatally (or when appropriate) to support your return to exercise and sport.
